Asheville’s Music Scene: Where to Find Live Vinyl Culture

by Lewis Jones | Sep 2, 2026 | Asheville, NC

Asheville has always been a music city, and staying at our Asheland Ave condo puts you right in the middle of it — practically every venue on this list is a five-to-ten-minute walk from The Groove, our in-unit vinyl station.

Start close: Asheville Yards, an indoor/outdoor concert space with a packed seasonal lineup, and Third Room, a boutique venue known for electronic and bass-forward nights, are both about a minute's walk from the building. A few blocks further, Asheville Music Hall runs two stages of live music most nights of the week, and One World Brewing pulls double duty as a brewery and an underground live-music room.

For a bigger night out, The Orange Peel is Asheville's marquee mid-size concert hall — the kind of room touring acts specifically ask to play — and Thomas Wolfe Auditorium hosts the largest touring shows the city gets.

If you'd rather stay in, that's what The Groove is for: a turntable and a record collection curated around Asheville's own artists, set beneath the Lucky Lady neon sign. Drop the needle, pour a drink, and let Asheville's music scene come to you — no cover charge required.

Whether you go out or stay in, you're never more than a short walk from Asheville's live music DNA. That's not an accident — it's exactly why we chose this building.
